Brewing instructions:
If you don’t have a traditional gourd, you can also brew yerba maté with a French press.
- Start by measuring out about 1-2 spoon-fulls of yerba maté per cup of water
- Boil water and let it cool slightly, until it reaches about 77°C.
- Add the ground yerba maté to the French press, and pour the hot water over it. Let the yerba maté steep for about 4-5 minutes.
- Press down the plunger on the French press, separating the brewed yerba maté from the leaves.
- Pour the brewed yerba maté into a cup, and enjoy! You can add sweeteners or milk if desired.
